Bulgaria, a mountainous country, has a continental climate in general due to the Mediterranean climate effects from the Aegean Sea. Therefore, the summer months are hot and dry. The best time to visit the country is July and August. In the summer, when the average temperatures are around 30 degrees, rainfall is very rare. In summer, nearly  5 days of each month is rainy.

During the summer, the coastal cities are lively and the beaches are quite crowded. Warm weather is also very convenient for exploring the scenic landscapes of the mountainous part of the country. If you are interested in winter sports, winter has a unique beauty in Bulgaria. In these months the temperature is around 5 degrees. It may not be very pleasant to go to this country during the winter months, except for the skiing holiday, especially because the cold in the northern cities is considerably low.
