Municipalities of San Marino

San Marino is divided into nine municipalities (Castello). The municipalities are the largest administrative divisions in San Marino. Dogana, known as the largest city of San Marino, is not an autonomous Castello but belongs to the Serravalle Castello. In the municipalities of San Marino, there is the main town called capoluogo and there are small settlements called frazioni or curazie (parish).
